This weekend the Southern Off Road Racing Association will host Round 4 of the Tasmanian Off Road Racing Series; the CJD 350 to be held over two days at the Cambridge Moto Complex.

SORRA have now completed track preparations on what will be the second event held at the new complex situated on the outskirts of Hobart.

The opening round of the series was the first look competitors had at the new complex and proved popular with both drivers and spectators with its fast flowing design.

The CJD 350 will consist of five one hour heats of the 3.5km short course circuit; prologue will kick the event off Saturday at 11.00am to determine starting positions for the first heat at 1.00pm.

A steady flow of entries has been received and with entries still open up until race day SORRA are hopeful for several more teams to be ready.

Andrew Giffard will head the southern contingency this week end; Giffard currently second outright in the championship will be looking to secure valuable outright points to increase his 9 point lead over fellow club member Chris Branch in #116.

Mike Males currently sits 2 points behind Branch in his #666 Can Am, Males hoping the tight sections of circuit will suit the side by side and if the “heavens did open up” taillights might all the field sees of #666.

Returning this weekend after 12 months out of the driver’s seat will be Wayne Campbell’s V6 Pro Buggy , after extensive repairs and a new engine Campbell will be looking at striking his first victory on the Cambridge track.

Gates open early Saturday morning with reconnaissance at 8.30 and scrutineering starting at 9. 00 am.  Entry to the circuit is via Cranston Parade at the Hobart Airport roundabout.
