It’s been five long months since the final round of the 2016 series and for many teams a chance to regroup and rebuild for this weekend’s opener the Husky Hire Sprint at Cambridge Moto Park.

The Southern Off Road Racing Association will debut their brand new track situated at Cambridge; the new complex neighbors the Hobart airport and is a 30 minute drive from Hobart’s CBD.

With earthworks continuing this week to add the final touches to the 3.5km track, SORRA is well prepared to present Tasmanian Off Road its brand new short course circuit.

Entries have been off to a slow start but are now rolling in as the week draws to an end.  SORRA will accept entries up until the flag drops Saturday but the club would appreciate those running late or still working on cars to contact the event secretary.

Saturday will kick off at 10.00am with the first of 5 x 30 minute heats.  Starting order for heat one will be determined by ballot; event organisers electing not to run a prologue for this event giving competitors maximum seat time for the day.

Gates will open at 7.00am Saturday for crews and officials.

Spectator’s will also be looked after Saturday with free entry and  plenty of hot food available.
